After nearly a decade of competing as a professional beach volleyball player, I turned in my bikini and passport for a chef’s coat and knife roll. My time at the Culinary Institute of America in the Napa Valley was formative and groundbreaking…quite literally. While working at The Restaurant at Meadowood, I discovered the art of Culinary Farming. I took what I learned on that farm and brought it to some of the best chefs in Los Angeles.
Two months after building my humble little garden in Venice, Bon Appetit came calling and the rest is history. Well. sort of.
With lots of twists and turns along the way, life today is filled with raising humans, growing food, and sharing ways to heal and support our bodies and our planet. Because we’ve only got one…of each.
